Dr Nick Pilcher takes Alex to Turtle Island, a place where he has worked extensively over the years. Alex sees first hand the complete Sea turtle life cycle from the mother sea turtle laying eggs on a beach at night to the fresh emergence of the turtle hatchlings and race to the open sea. Alex sees first hand the importance of eco-tourism and how it can protect and preserve the environment, whilst educating people in the process and thus safeguarding the turtle’s future.
